Who this is for

If you want the labs without joining anything.

Open-Access Labs are for adults who want comprehensive testing with real physician interpretation — before, instead of, or on the way to a treatment relationship.

The patient doing their own homework

You’ve read about ApoB, HOMA-IR, free testosterone, HbA1c trajectories. You want the data — and you want a physician, not a self-serve platform, to explain what it means in your specific context.

The patient exploring TRT or Metabolic

You’re considering hormone optimization or metabolic therapy but not ready to enroll. Order the panel, read the interpretation, decide from there. If you do enroll, your lab purchase credits toward the first month.

The patient whose PCP won’t order these

Your primary care physician runs the basics — CBC, BMP, lipids — and calls it complete. You want the advanced markers: ApoB, Vitamin D, B12, free and bioavailable testosterone, inflammation. Order them directly.

The patient tracking a trajectory

You’re already on a metabolic or hormone protocol elsewhere and want independent monitoring. Quarterly Metabolic Monitoring panel, written interpretation, no treatment commitment.

Three tiers

Labs. Interpretation. Or interpretation plus a consult.

Every panel is orderable at any tier. Pick the level of physician involvement you want. Upgrade later if you need more.

A

Labs + raw results

The panel is ordered through Empower Med, drawn at Quest, and the raw lab report is delivered to you. No written interpretation, no consult.

B

Labs + physician interpretation

Tier A plus a written interpretation by Dr. Everson. What each value means for you, what patterns matter, and what would be the logical next step if you wanted one. Default tier.

Collection methods

Where the blood draw actually happens.

Order the panel through Empower Med, draw the blood at a Quest Patient Service Center, results flow back through the practice for interpretation.

  • Quest DiagnosticsTraditional blood draw at any Quest Patient Service Center. Currently the standard collection method.Patient chooses a convenient Quest location and time.
  • Tasso+ at-home collectionAt-home capillary collection kit (coming soon). Patients can express interest when ordering; the practice notifies when the integration is live.No needles, no trip to a Quest center.
If labs lead you to treatment

Your panel credits forward.

The Open-Access Lab Service is a standalone diagnostic, not a hidden upsell. But if the results lead you into treatment, your lab purchase becomes your entry point.

  • Metabolic OptimizationLab customers receive a $100 credit toward the first Metabolic order fee. Net physician fee at enrollment: $0.Any panel qualifies.
  • Male Hormone (TRT)Male Hormone panel customers receive a $165 credit against first TRT membership month. First month ($149) covered in full; remaining $16 rolls to cycle 2.Only the Male Hormone panel qualifies.
  • Female Hormone (HRT)No lab credit by design. HRT entry is symptom-driven and cardiovascular-risk-driven, not lab-driven.A lab panel doesn’t predict HRT appropriateness.
Scope of service

What Open-Access Labs is, and isn’t.

The Open-Access Lab Service is a diagnostic service — not a treatment relationship. It exists so patients can get comprehensive labs with real physician interpretation without having to enroll in a clinical program first.

Order terms and the service waiver are presented during the ordering flow before payment. Nothing on this page commits you to anything — it’s here so you know exactly what the service is before you order.

“The labs you want. Read by the physician who’d actually treat you.”

Another month ordering labs that no one actually interprets. Another platform that sells data without a plan. Or a physician who explains what it means.
