Pillar 05 · Peptide Therapy

Peptides work at the root level. That requires a physician.

Your biology takes instruction. Make sure it's the right one.

Animated peptide signaling cascade: peptides approach cell membrane, bind to receptors, trigger signal cascade through cytoplasm, activating Pituitary, Immune, Tissue, and Metabolism systems
Fig. 01 · How Peptides Work (Animated) Watch peptides approach your cell membranes and bind to receptors, triggering a cascade that signals your pituitary gland, immune system, and tissue-repair systems. The animation shows how peptides activate your body's own systems—prompting them to work better, not to do something completely new. That precision is why a physician's guidance matters.
Who this is for

Adults recovering, optimizing, and aging on their own terms.

Peptide therapy is for patients who want individualized protocols from a physician who understands the mechanism — not a subscription kit shipped from a gray-market vendor.

The patient recovering from injury or overtraining

You’ve hit a plateau in soft-tissue healing or training recovery. Conventional approaches aren’t moving the needle. You want a physician-supervised protocol targeting the specific recovery pathway.

The 45+ adult optimizing lean mass and energy

Metabolic optimization handles weight; you want to protect muscle and recover like you used to. Growth-hormone secretagogues as part of a coordinated longevity protocol fit this exactly.

The patient with declining growth hormone output

Your labs show age-related GH decline; your recovery and sleep reflect it. Rather than bio-identical replacement, you want your body to signal itself more efficiently — sustainably.

The patient building a longevity protocol

You’re addressing metabolic health and hormones; peptides are the next layer. You want them integrated with your other treatments, not as a standalone vendor experiment.

The clinical approach

Physician-directed, not physician-supervised.

Peptides don’t replace the physician; they require the physician. These are tools that work at the root level — signaling your pituitary gland, immune system, or tissue-repair pathways to perform better. Dosing, timing, and patient selection all demand a doctor who knows your case. A subscription kit can’t provide that.

At Empower Med, every peptide protocol is designed by Dr. Everson — not selected from a menu of pre-sets. Your intake reviews your training, recovery patterns, lab results, concurrent medications, and specific goals. The peptide category and dose are then matched to your actual biology, not a template. And you see the same physician for every follow-up lab and protocol adjustment.

“Peptides work by giving a specific instruction to a specific pathway. That specificity is why clinical oversight matters — and why it can’t be automated.”
Peptide categories

Four categories. Clinical evidence-first.

Not all peptides sit on the same evidence base. Dr. Everson structures protocols around the clinical clarity of each category and the specific goals of your case.

Growth Hormone Support

Trigger your body’s natural growth hormone

Sermorelin, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, Tesamorelin. These peptides signal your pituitary gland (the control center in your brain that makes growth hormone) to produce more of its own growth hormone naturally — rather than injecting synthetic GH directly. Result: more muscle, better sleep, faster recovery.

Recovery & Healing

Speed up tissue repair

BPC-157 and TB-500 are peptides studied for muscle and soft-tissue recovery after injury or overtraining. They help your body repair damage faster and reduce inflammation in injured areas. Evidence is still developing, which is why physician oversight and monitoring matter.

Skin & Longevity

Boost collagen and tissue repair

GHK-Cu is a copper-peptide complex that signals your body to produce more collagen and rebuild tissue. It supports skin quality and slows aging throughout your body. Usually used as part of a long-term plan, not as a one-time treatment.

Cellular Energy

Power your cells at the source

NAD+ is fuel for your cells’ energy centers (think of it like batteries in your cells). As you age, you run low on NAD+, which slows your recovery and makes you feel more tired. NAD+ support rebuilds that fuel. Often combined with other peptides as part of a comprehensive longevity plan.

Labs & monitoring

Testing to guide your protocol.

Before starting peptide therapy, Dr. Everson orders baseline labs to make sure peptides are appropriate for you. Then periodic check-ins confirm the protocol is working.

All labs are ordered through Empower Med and billed at Quest cost + 50%. You see what you pay for the lab itself and the physician interpretation fee, itemized separately.

Baseline labs differ by peptide type

  • Growth Hormone Support: IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor — shows if your growth hormone is working), fasting glucose (your blood sugar after not eating), basic metabolic panel (kidney and liver function tests)
  • Recovery Peptides: Inflammation measurements (like C-reactive protein, which shows if your body is inflamed), and imaging tests if you've had an injury (X-rays or ultrasound to see what's damaged)
  • Skin & Longevity: Basic metabolic panel, thyroid function, optional skin photos or thickness measurement (to track collagen and skin changes over time)
  • Cellular Energy: Metabolic panel, and energy-production markers (lactate and pyruvate levels — these show whether your cells are making energy efficiently)
  • Follow-up: Repeat labs at 8–12 weeks, then every 3–6 months depending on your peptide type
Pricing transparency

What Peptide Therapy actually costs.

Physician fee. Labs. Compounds. Three separate line items. You see all of them.

Most peptide subscription services bundle everything into a single monthly cost. At Empower Med, here’s the breakdown:

Initial consultation Your intake with Dr. Everson, review of labs and medical history, protocol design, and informed consent paperwork. $125one-time
Baseline lab panel Category-specific labs based on your peptide choice. Billed at Quest cost + 50% professional-service markup, itemized separately. Variesone-time
Monthly physician oversight Ongoing clinical monitoring, dose adjustments, unlimited messaging with Dr. Everson, quarterly protocol reviews. [TBD]per consultation
Peptide compound Ordered through your pharmacy and billed directly to you. Empower Med keeps zero margin. You pay the pharmacy cost only — no markup by us. Variesby compound & dose

Peptide therapy pricing is determined in your consultation based on which peptides fit your goals, your baseline labs, and your protocol. Competitor reference: Sermorelin typically ranges $189–249/vial.
